Snowy Hydro 2.0

Our team was tasked with the construction,
installation, testing, and commissioning of a high
voltage cable system, including 22 and 33kV installs,
terminations, and testing. This work was part of our
project scope for the Snowy Hydro 2.0 PBE Rutherford
projects, located in Kosciuszko National Park, New
South Wales.

The next stage of this project will consist of replacing
air-operated circuit breakers with
electrical-operated circuit breakers over 4 different
outages, 2 will be installed at the Murray 2 site and 2
at the Tumut site.

Marsden Park Zone
Substation

The electrical works at the South Marsden Park
Endeavour Energy site, involving the installation of an
outdoor 132kV switchyard, were successfully
completed.

The project included:

• Installing five dead tank circuit breakers, twelve
disconnectors, two triple sets of single-phase VTs,
four triple sets of surge arresters, and providing
support structures, overhead buses, and droppers.
• 415V and 11kV switchboards installation
• Transformer installation
• Supply and installation of protection and control
(P&C) panels
• Installation of DC systems
• Earthing and lightning protection system
installation
• Carrying out lighting installation
• Conducting pre-commissioning testing and
delivering Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
• The project also involved a three-month on-site
engagement of qualified electrical personnel for
P&C testing and to execute any required
modifications.
